Data Deletion Commitment

When we receive a deletion request at team@vkit.app, or an Instagram professional account is disconnected from Vkit, we initiate the deletion workflow. Associated Instagram platform data is purged from our active systems within 90 days. We will confirm completion by email. To request deletion or disconnection, email team@vkit.app with the subject “Data deletion request”.

How to request deletion

If you have a Vkit account — email us at team@vkit.app with the subject “Data deletion request” from the email on your account, and we’ll delete your account and its data.

By email, for anyone — write to team@vkit.app with the subject “Data deletion request”. Tell us the account handle and platform, or the Vkit page or tool you used, so we can find the right records. You do not need an account to ask. Do not send us passwords or access tokens.

If you messaged or commented on a creator’s post and want your data removed — email us and we will act on it. We will also tell you which creator’s automation involved you, so you can contact them directly if you want to. You do not need a Vkit account, and there is no charge.

If you only want to disconnect Instagram

Disconnecting your Instagram account from Vkit stops all automation immediately. The audience data collected through it is deleted within 90 days, without you having to ask separately.

What gets deleted

Identifiable data we hold about you includes your account and profile, connected-account credentials, automations and message content, contacts and form replies, brand information, saved AI inputs and outputs, link-in-bio page content, and scheduled and published post content and media. The retention periods below and any legal obligations apply. Publishing records include stored media-container identifiers and status information. You can request deletion of scheduled content and uploaded media by emailing team@vkit.app.

DataWhen it goes
Account Holder account informationFor as long as your account is active, then 90 days after closure
Billing records7 years, as required by Canadian tax law
Message and comment content90 days from the interaction, unless the Account Holder configures a shorter period
Delivery telemetry and logs12 months
Security and abuse logs12 months
Aggregate, de-identified analyticsIndefinitely — this cannot be linked back to you
Scheduled and published post content, media, and publishing recordsScheduled content is retained while awaiting publication. Published post content, including uploaded media and captions, is retained while your account is open and is deleted when your account is closed. You can request deletion of specific content — unpublished, cancelled, failed, or already published — by emailing team@vkit.app.

Two things we cannot delete on request, and it is fairer to say so than to promise otherwise: billing records, which Canadian tax law requires us to keep for seven years, and aggregate analytics that carry no identifier and cannot be traced back to any person.

Deleting Vkit’s stored copies does not automatically delete posts already published on a connected platform. Manage those posts with that platform. Its own privacy policy and retention rules apply to its copies. Media containers hosted by Meta are subject to Meta’s own retention rules.

How long it takes

We respond to every request within 30 days, free of charge. This is our response deadline, not a promise that every system and backup is erased within that period. The retention periods above apply; Instagram platform data is purged within 90 days of a deletion request. We will explain any information we must keep by law and confirm completion by email.
